> Video 4 - Effective Classroom Rules
Why do we need rules??? They are there to protect us, create order, and give us guidelines of what is expected. There are rules for everything everywhere - from driving, where to park, and even how to act in a park when you are playing, what to wear in restaurants or stores, taking your pet for a walk, and on and on. It is so important to help your students understand the “why” for having rules and how this is relevant for real world application.
> Video 5 - How to Open and Close Your Lesson

Oftentimes, teachers neglect to prioritize planning these two parts of the lesson which can lead to missed opportunities to assess student's prior knowledge and mastery of the subject… or even another opportunity to get to know the students a little better.
